This is a good course. Me and my Husband attended a 1 day course on how to start a coffee shop with Ruth. Ruth was very patient and answered all our questions. She was enthusiastic about coffee and explained the theory in a simplified structured, manner with extra suport given as link documents after course completion. We really enjoyed the practical side and all the coffees we drank together. Hope to return soon. Thankyou - Zainab
My dream is to one day be able to open my own cafe, however with such poor knowledge and experience working with coffee, I knew I had to attend a barista course to get the ball rolling. After reading such positive reviews left by so many others who had attended a course at Limini, I knew I had to book one for myself~and I was not was not at all disappointed! I had booked myself onto the one-on-one barista training and latte art training with Ruth as my instructor, and she was so lovely! Ruth has such an extensive knowledge about coffee and was able to answer all the questions I had to ask her, and she was incredibly kind and patient with such a coffee novice such as myself. I had such a great time making all the different types of coffee (as well as tasting them!), and had learnt far more than I thought I would! I had definitely left the course more motivated to open my cafe, and it has inspired me to become a great barista! I would recommend a course at Limini to anyone who is passionate about coffee or who would like to broaden their knowledge about coffee~ you will have an incredible day! I thought I was coming for a short course to learn how to make pretty patterns in my lattes. Couldn't have been more wrong! I had 3 hours of 121 training with Vicki, who is brilliant. I learnt so much in one afternoon; what coffee to buy (I only buy LImini coffee now) importance of roasting dates, how to callibrate your grind to get the perfect shot of espresso (25 is my new magic number), how to steam milk and create different amount off froth etc. etc. etc. I thought I knew what a good cup of coffee was...I do now! Only one down side, I now have to save up for an La Speziale S1! I recommend this course to anyone who wants to make and drink really good coffee. - Andy
spent a whole day a Limini, thoroughly enjoyed the courses and would highly recommend to all. Vicki is an absolute credit to the company and made it such a fun and enjoyable experience, all whilst teaching you the beginnings of coffee through to creating the perfect cup. I have left with even more enthusiasm and eagerness to progress into the industry ; but I will also return to show off my latte skills and do the advanced barista course. Great course, didn't expect it to be one on one which was a nice surprise. Vicki who was showing me the ropes was very friendly and personable and everything i've learned has remained in my head due to her style. Within the 3 hours, I made a whole load of coffees and they were pretty good coffees considering I am an amateur. All in all a great afternoon which has really rekindled an interest in coffee through not only the practical side but also the theory and wisdom behind a perfect cup of coffee. Thanks again - Stuart
What a great training, what a great trainer! When we first found out that Limini is based far in the north (we live in London) we hesitated a bit to book the How to open a coffee shop course, despite of the great reviews. However, when looking for courses in London, we found that they were not as comprehensive as the one at Limini's or they did not provide 1-2-1 sessions, so we were like: let's do this. And we were sooo right! We had the one day long session with Vicki and we learnt an awful lot and received super useful materials. Even though there seems to be a lot of things to do, we feel more confident in tackling all aspects of the opening activities now. The course was tailored for out needs, all of our 46 pre-collected questions have been answered, we made amazing coffees (espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, flat white) and improved our latte art technique a lot. We could have just listened to Vicki all day long, as she is so passionate about coffee that it was such a joy just listening to her! Thank you so much Vicki for the great course, Bex and the team for helping us with the administration (amazing customer service, we were really impressed!) and everyone at Limini for being there for us, future coffee shop owners. We hope we can go back there soon to get our staff trained! :) - Andrea and Miklos
I can't recommend this course highly enough! I did the two day one-on-one course with Ruth and it was absolutely brilliant. Ruth is hugely skilled and knowledgeable, not just in the business of making great (and I mean really great!) tasting coffee but also in the planning and financial aspects of starting your coffee shop business. She tuned into where I was coming from and what my vision for my business is right from the start and was incredibly patient with all my questions. The wealth of spreadsheet templates and the support pages you get access to at the end of the course are invaluable too. They're so comprehensive and make what can be quite a daunting part of the business set-up process seem much more manageable. Thanks again to Ruth and the whole team at Limini for a really enjoyable and worthwhile couple of days. - Cathy

Really enjoyed spending some time developing a much better understanding of the espresso making process and the art of correctly steaming milk. Vicki was really knowledgeable and has certainly given me some invaluable tips and skills to practice. Highly Recommend. Adam
