The course was a present from my wife, who knew that I had in mind the conversion of a baker's van to a mobile coffee shop. I had no idea what to expect. I left the course after three hours knowing a great deal more than when I arrived. A great deal more. I was one of four 'students' with similar levels of knowledge - essentially almost none. There was a lot to get through in three hours, but the instruction was clear, concise and effective. The trainer Vivki was inclusive, attentive and clearly knew the subject. There was no patronising, although we all gave her plenty of opportunity to highlight our ignorance. The course was a nice blend of instruction and practice. I would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in coffee and some degree of curiosity about how to make it. At home I still plough on with my macchinetta and occasionally a hand grinder and dzezva, a hangover from many years living and working in the Balkans. But come the time when I set my van up, I will feel equipped to use these fancy new toys and will do so with confidence. I am still partly a Luddite, but now a Luddite more accepting of new ways. Hi, I have been a customer of yours for just over a year now and whilst just a domestic user and having tried other suppliers from time to time I rate your coffee as THE BEST in terms of quality, taste and value for money. I just love your Kata blend even though I have sampled several of your other blends. It is my favourite comfort drink for cappuccino or flat white. Also your turn round service is just brilliant, cannot fault it. We did the afternoon barista training last week. We had so much fun and learnt lots in only 3 hours. Would defiantly recommend to anyone who is opening a coffee shop. The coffee tastes great too. Thank you for such a relaxed and fun afternoon. - Kirsty Talbot

The course was really helpful and I learnt how to texture milk more consistently than I have been able to at home. The difference in the smoothness of the milk compared to what I have been achieving was most noticeable. The latte art was more tricky but thanks to Vickey's patience and knowledge, and copious amounts of milk and coffee to practice with, I'm far more confident of being able to create interesting art in the future. The course was very interactive and informative. Small groups mean that you get plenty of individual assistance and have the chance to ask plenty of questions. The course is taught in a fun way with the odd challenge thrown in. You can definitely achieve your goal of making an excellent coffee after completing the course. Daniel

Everything you need to know about coffee and how to set-up an independent shop; it's all there at Limini Coffee. We were very fortunate to meet and work with Vicki for two days; her passion for coffee and her genuine enthusiasm towards helping us make our project a success was apparent from the outset. I attended the 'How to start a coffee shop' one day course with a friend a few weeks ago and we both really enjoyed the day. Not only did we learn loads, we had a lot of fun too! From the moment we walked through the door we was laughing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The training was made to suit our needs and we've come away with so much useful information. Opening a coffee shop has been a dream of ours for quite a while now and since attending the course, we are even more excited to make this happen. Excellent courses, loads of skills and knowledge shared. I took the barista and latte art half days. If you've never handled a coffee machine before then these courses are a must for you. You'll learn how to make coffee, actual coffee - most likely you'll be making coffee better than your local cafe by the end of the day. I highly recommend these guys. Andrew Taylor

I have attended more than one coffee shop course and believe it a must for any budding coffee shop owners. These courses teach you so many things you will not have thought about which could cost you extra time & money. However if you should choose just one course, I recommend Limini Coffee. You receive a whole day of one to one training & advise from Youri, which enables you to ask lots of specific questions based on your business model. You leave the course with a coffee shop support pack full of information & material, which contains very detailed spread sheets to help with costings both of products and build.
