I recently attended the "how to start a coffee shop" two day training course. After being quite a novice when it came to coffee, I found this course extremely helpful. It's given me confidence not only in using the espresso machines but in every aspect of running a coffee shop, Youri and Howard couldn't of been more helpful.David Baldwin
Hi Youri, Howard,Thanks again to you both for your hospitality on |Thursday. It was definitely my gain and Roberts lost ,Due his train delays. I know Howard offered to make up any short falls in Roberts exposure to his skills once I had left. I benefitted greatly from the course and enjoyed being around fellow addicts.The setup and cleanliness of my machine seemed so far out it made me laugh. We recently attended a half day barista training session with Youri. The communication leading up to the training and the quality of the training itself was fantastic. We got to have Youri all to ourselves which was invaluable to us as a new business. He was very personable which made the training that much more enjoyable. He took loads of pictures which we can now use in our shop. By the end our heads were filled with loads of information and we were producing latte art - very exciting!!! Since the initial idea of opening our new venture through to the training we received last week, the service provided by Youri has been first class.. I had the pleasure of an early sample of Limini Coffee's new premium blend and it's of premiership quality, a true luxury. Must be enjoyed as a straight espresso to get maximum enjoyment. It's well balanced and extremely complex and after tasting with friends we agreed that there are some strong floral notes. All my efforts have been pulled on a wee 1 group machine (Expobar Office Leva) designed for domestic not commercial use and i've found it near on impossible to brew a shot that isn't anything but delicious. I attended a course with Youri of Limini Coffee and he was unbelievably generous with his time, his expertise and his milk and coffee! I got to practice latte art until I was able to produce something recognisable thanks to Youri's incredible patience. I would thoroughly recommend you go to him to learn anything about coffee. Colin
Helen and I have just completed a barista training course with Youri at Limini Coffee in Halifax. Despite the snow and a late arrival we were immediately impressed by the Coffee House and the warmth of the greeting.We had bought our first Gaggia machine a few months earlier, but were a little dubious about what we were doing. My friend Paul recommended Youri, and we are very grateful to him for that.We are both beginners in the magical art of making proper coffee, and when we tasted the first cappuchino made by Youri we realised that a whole new world of coffee pleasure was opening up. Four hours of watching, tasting, and making ourselves, provided a very satisfying learning experience. I was given coffee training at home as a Christmas present. It was great to be trained on my own machine (rancilio silvia / rocky) so I could be confident I'd be able to keep on getting the same results. We started with me copying the basic steps for making espresso and we moved onto milk frothing and latte art. Just changing a few details has made a big difference to the coffee I make. I thought the latte art would just be for interest but even after a few go's I was surprised how well it was coming out - not going to win any prizes but still good fun to do. Overall I got everything I wanted out of the training and would highly recommend it. - Peter Roots
I feel that I am lucky when I found Limini Coffee. They helped me a lot in the field of consultancy, training and purchase of products and electrical appliances. Punctuality was one of the most important criteria that I was searching for. It has been found in the Limini Coffee staff. There were two other attendees and we were all treated to Youri's passion and enthusiasm about the coffee making process. The training also included a visit to the on site roastery and an explanation of the roasting process. We were then let loose on the espresso machine and before too long were able to produce fantastic looking and tasting coffee and also latte art. I would thoroughly recommend the course to anyone about to start working in a coffee shop (like me) and also to anyone already working in the industry.
